The Hypnosis Connection to Quantum Healing

Quantum Healing is a Mind Body Medicine known as neuroscience. This is not something new. The origins of mind/body medicine go back to ancient times. At that time health was restored by releasing negative spirits with rituals, chanting, voodoo and exorcism—all belief based and balancing energy (chi, prana, qi). Today, beginning with research at Cambridge in the 1950s, scientists have found that genes and DNA do not influence our lives. In other words, we do not inherit and we are not predisposed to disease. Instead, it’s the communication of neurons (brain cells) sending electrical and neurotransmitters (chemical signals) to cells throughout the body that influence our state of being.

Mood and thoughts are a huge part of this process, creating a seesaw effect on our well-being. I can give myself a headache just by thinking about. In the same way, I can relieve pain by using thought and visualization. So, it’s our perception and our response to the environment that affects our health—both positively or negatively.

Simply stated, by changing how we perceive and react to our environment, we change the chemical(s) released by the brain—restoring and maintaining health. We have the option to create balance and remain healthy at all times.

Our brain is the largest chemical manufacturer. It releases chemicals in the blood, the same as any pharmaceutical drug. These chemicals change the composition of our cells—creating health or dis-ease. So, when we are feeling positive emotions, like peace, happiness, joy, love, compassion, or empathy we create endorphins, such as oxytocin, dopamine, serotonin, and opiates that modify the activity of our immune system to boost healing and maintain homeostasis (equilibrium, self-preservation). Conversely, when we are experiencing negative feelings such as anger, hostility, resentment, guilt, shame or depression our brain releases stressful chemicals, such as adrenaline and cortisone that cause inflammation in the body, compromising our immune system.

Most dis-ease is caused by STRESS. To prevent dis-ease and maintain well-being we need to be aware of our thoughts and emotions because our mind is so powerful it actually creates that which we believe and focus on. Let me give you two examples of how this works:

On hot day in August, a woman I knew was in bed, covered with several blankets and using a heating pad to keep warm, yet, she was still shivering and experiencing severe acid reflux. All these symptoms were brought on by fear due to a sudden muscle pain. When the doctor assured her that the pain she was experiencing was caused by manual labor, and was not life threatening, the chills were gone, the acid reflux was gone and the woman was out of bed interacting with friends. This woman’s fear-based thoughts brought on all the debilitating symptoms. As soon as she changed her thoughts, her health was restored.

About 20 years ago, a friend of mine received the terrible news that she had a mass on her left breast by more than one specialist. Maintaining her equilibrium, she immediately began healing meditation, focusing intently on dissolving the mass. At her pre-op appointment, the mass was gone. I’m happy to report that it has never returned. This woman’s positive thoughts and attitude brought about healing.

We are the masters of our own brain-body connection. We can restore health by sending positive messages, through thought and visualization, to any cells that have strayed from their healthy origins, and to the subconscious mind that assists us in accepting and integrating the new information. We do this while in hypnosis.

According to Dr. Bruce Lipton, “Hypnosis is #1 for changing the subconscious mind.” In an article dated Dec. of 2005, the Mayo Clinic Staff report that, “Hypnotherapy has the potential to help relieve the symptoms of a wide variety of diseases and conditions. It can be used independently or along with other treatments.”

While in hypnosis we can access information not readily available to the conscious mind, identify the root cause of dis-ease, understand the issue from a new perspective, release any negativity associated with it, and replace distorted beliefs with positive beliefs, thoughts, and actions, thereby creating abundant health, peace of mind, confidence and self-esteem. This is the core of the mind-body connection.

Hypnotherapy is not a magic wand. It takes a few sessions, but it is much quicker than any other therapy. We find the cause, we release the association, and the problem dissipates. And, with hypnotherapy, changes are seen and felt from the very first session!

Anyone contemplating surgery should seriously consider working with a hypnotherapist before medical intervention to promote relaxation, boost the immune system, reduce or eliminate any possible complications, pain, the need for excessive post-operative drugs, any worry of recurrence, and any fear of death or dying.

One of my clients said, “I am convinced that hypnotherapy should not be a last resort but a first choice.”

You can heal yourself! I can help you.
